National Insect Week returns in 2020

Worms Wood Wild Fair

Saturday, June 23, 2018 - 11:00 to 16:00

Join us in the woods for a day of wild activities including nature walks, crafts, bushcraft and magical woodland fun for all the family.

Booking in advance strongly recommended. Tickets on the day will be higher cost at £6 per adult and £4 per child or concession (concession: over 65 or student with student ID). Children under 2 are free.

Times: 11:00 - 16:00.

We will have a range of fun activities on all throughout the day catering for people of all ages, including: 

  • Bushcraft - make dreamcatchers, magical wands and crowns out of natural materials;
  • Nature walks to learn about the habitats and wildlife of Worms Wood;
  • Storytelling - for infants to age 8 (approx) to spark their imaginations with nature/animal themed stories;
  • A craft-making area;
  • Interactive wild/magical themed shows by a children's entertainer.

Please note there is no car park for the woods - we advise you to walk, use public transport or use a local car park and walk. There is parking on the residential streets nearby but if you choose to park there please be mindful of people's driveways. A nearby postcode is PO22 6QJ. 

Toilets (including a baby change/disabled access toilet) and catering will be available. Catering will be provided by local Littlehampton based 'Sussex mobile coffee company' who will be selling fairtrade, organic coffee, hot drinks, cold drinks, sandwiches, baguettes, paninis, crisps, snacks and belgian waffles with ice cream!
